INTRODUCTION to Art Therapy Course is based on experiential workshops designed to enable the participants to intuitively embrace the innate creative potential that resides within all of us.

​Through individual and group experience this course introduces participants to an understanding of the therapeutic potential of Art as Therapy.

FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE
in Art Therapy

The course provides an enhanced understanding of Art Therapy through individual and more advanced group workshops. The participants are encouraged to explore and develop their trust in the liberating creative potential of art within the therapeutic process.  It is experiential and explores Humanistic and Integrative concepts providing a link to the DATC BA Hons in Integrative Counselling and Art Therapy programme.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE
in Art Therapy Skills

 This course specifically explores the practical application of art as a therapeutic intervention.  It facilitates the development of professional Art Psychotherapy skills supported by Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Integrative theoretical underpinning.  It also provides in-house practical experience supported by group supervision and forms an integral part of the Diploma course.

BA Hons in Integrative Counselling and Art Therapy 

The Degree programme integrates the applied skills of Counselling & Psychotherapy with Neuroscience and Art Therapy skills through various theoretical approaches.    It further develops the practical application of art as a therapy through in-house and clinical placement experience.    The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of Art Therapy through experiential workshops, studio practice, in-depth interactive academic study whilst applying a multi-sensory approach to independent learning and tutorials.    It enables Learners to integrate Art Therapy into their counselling & psychotherapeutic practice.
